90 Years Anniversary

Morley Amateur Operatic Society celebrate their 90th anniversary this year and they marked the occasion with a celebration dinner at Howley Hall Golf Club, which was attended by over 70 guests. The President of the Society, Ann Lockwood, presented Steven Holt with his NODA silver bar for an amazing 45 years service to Morley and amateur theatre. In those 45 years Steven has appeared in every one of Morley's productions - that's NINETY consecutive shows.

Peter Pan Finale February 2017

Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH)

J M Barrie gave all the rights to Peter Pan to Great Ormond Street Hospital in 1929.

Since then the hospital has received royalties every time a production of the play is put on, as well as from the sale of Peter Pan books and other products.

MAOS are proud and pleased, that as a result of presenting ‘Peter Pan’ Great Ormond Street Hospital will receive £624 that we have paid to present this production.

Fiddler on the Roof September/October 2017 'Sunrise Sunset'

The cast of Peter Pan held a rehearsal wearing Christmas Jumpers and raised £100 for Radio Aire's Cash for Kids Mission Christmas Appeal.

Along with various social and fundraising events our members have something to keep them going all through the year.

We have been presenting live entertainment for the Morley and wider community since 1927 and we always need new onstage and offstage members to help in all the various aspects of running the society and presenting our shows.
